Jackie’s number one priority is keeping our communities safe. She brings a deep understanding of Columbia County’s unique needs and will continue her hands-on leadership addressing crime prevention, emergency response, and officer preparedness.

Jackie knows that a connected community is a safe one. From creating Columbia County’s first Community Liaison role to launching programs like the Wheels of Justice and Gun Buyback initiatives, Jackie is focused on strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the people it serves.

Jackie believes public safety and justice go hand in hand. As Sheriff, she will continue building a culture that prioritizes fairness, transparency, and respect — ensuring all residents are treated with dignity and equity.

The opioid epidemic has devastated families across our region. Jackie is committed to using every available tool to fight this crisis — including partnering with public health experts and prioritizing intervention, prevention, and rehabilitation efforts.

In today’s complex world, law enforcement officers must be prepared for a wide range of situations. Jackie will strengthen the Sheriff’s Office’s training programs to ensure deputies are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and judgment necessary to serve every member of our community with professionalism and care.
