  • are you registered to vote?

    —> Change of Address Deadline: 5pm on October 20, 2025. All change of address forms and notifications received at the Columbia County Board of Elections no later than 5pm on October 20, 2025, must be processed by the Board for the General Election Sec. 5-208(3). This includes transfer registrations from other counties within New York State.

    —> New Registration Deadline: 5pm on October 25, 2025. Voter registration forms must be received at the Columbia County Board of Elections no later than 5pm on October 25, 2025.

Deadline to request:

Board of Elections must receive your application by 5pm.

Absentee Ballots: Require an excuse and must be used for Permanent Disabled voters who may choose to vote from home.

Early Mail Ballots: Do not require an excuse.

Military/Overseas Voters: visit FVAP.gov or reach out to the Board of Elections for Absentee Ballot information.
